ISO 3166-1 alpha-2 use in Amazon MWS

AmazonマーケットプレイスWebサービス(Amazon MWS) uses the two-letter country codes specified in ISO 3166-1 alpha-2 standard to represent countries, dependent territories, and special areas of geographical interest. The ISO 3166-2 standard is used for Country subdivision codes. They are used by Amazon MWS to identify the locations where we do business. These codes are used throughout Amazon MWS. However, the countries where we are allowed to do business are limited. This page identifies those countries and their country code designations.

Format

The country code is represented by two capitalized letters. If a subdivision code is used to specify a state, provence or district, its two- or three-character code may be represented by digits or capital letters. The country code and subdivision code are separated by a hyphen when written together in full ISO 3166-2 format.

For example:

  • "BR" specifies the country of Brazil
  • "MT" specifies the Brazilian State of Mato Grosso
  • "BR-MT" specifies Brazil and the state of Mato Grosso in full ISO 3166-2 format
注: Amazon MWS uses country code and subdivision codes as seperate request/response parameters. You can typically use one or the other, but not both. For example, specifying both ShipToCountryCode and ShipToCountrySubdivisionCode returns an error. Use the full ISO 3166-2 format when specifying a subdivision code. If the country code is not specified, the default is assumed to be the country code for the seller's home marketplace.

The subdivision codes for GB are three letters, which conforms to the British Standard BS 6879.
IT Italy See ISO 3166-2:IT EU region

The subdivision codes for IT are two digits for regions, or two letters for provinces.

IN India See ISO 3166-2:IN EU region
JP Japan See ISO 3166-2:JP JP region

The subdivision codes for JP are two digits (01–47), which conforms to the Japanese Industrial Standard JIS X 0401 code of the prefectures.
CN China See ISO 3166-2:CN CN region

The subdivision codes for CN are two digits, which is the Guobiao GB 2260 numeric code of the subdivision, except Hong Kong and Macao (Macau), which use 91 and 92 respectively while their Guobiao codes are 81 and 82.
