This document provides guidance for filling out the "List your app" form. Use this form to
request to have your application listed in the Selling Partner Appstore. In addition
to telling you what you should do, this document tells you what you should not do
when completing the form. Following this guidance will help streamline the process
of listing your application in the Selling Partner Appstore.
Important: Only developers who meet the following requirements can list applications
in the Selling Partner Appstore:
- You have registered for Amazon Marketplace Web Service (Amazon MWS). See Registering to use Amazon MWS.
- You have submitted the Developer Registration and Assessment form. See Frequently Asked
Questions.
- We have approved your request for Amazon MWS
access, based on our evaluation of your submission of the Developer
Registration and Assessment form.
- Your business name or brand is not in violation of Amazon’s trademark
policy. Your business must not contain any term trademarked by Amazon. For
more information, see Non-Exhaustive List of Amazon
Trademarks. In addition to the terms on this list, using "AMZ" is
considered a trademark violation.
Filling out the List your app
form
Step 1. Go to the form
- Sign into Developer Central in your home marketplace, using the credentials you used to
register for Amazon MWS. Here are links to
Developer Central by marketplace:
- On the Developer Central page, click the
Add new app button.
- The App registration page appears.
Note: These options appear at the bottom of each page of the form:
- Save as draft. Saves the information you have entered so far
and closes the form.
- Cancel. Closes the form without saving. All of the
information you have entered into the form will be lost.
- Save and continue. Saves your information and moves to the
next page of the form.
Step 2. Complete the App registration page
- Complete the page, following this guidance:
App name. Enter
the name of your application.
Important: Your
application name must not contain any term trademarked by Amazon.

Trademarks. In addition to the terms on this list, using
"AMZ" is considered a trademark violation.
Amazon APIs used. Select the API functionality that your
application uses.
Short description. Briefly describe the features of your
application. Important: Phrases such as "The best", "Number
1", and "The only" are not allowed.
- Click the Save and continue button to continue to the next page
of the form.
Step 3. Complete the App information page
- Complete the page, following this guidance:
Images. Upload
images that will represent your application in both the category
pages and the detail page. The images:
- Should represent your business or your application.
- Must not contain any offensive or sensitive subjects.
- Must not contain Amazon’s or any other company’s logo.
- Must not contain any word trademarked by Amazon. For more
information, see Non-Exhaustive List of Amazon
Trademarks.
Product URL. Enter the URL for your application’s website. Do not
enter a URL for a sign-in page. Support email. Enter an email
address where customers can contact you with questions or
concerns.
Support phone. Enter a phone number where
customers can contact you with questions or concerns.
Support website. Enter a URL for your Help pages,
Helpdesk, or other help system offered by your company.
Customer support languages. Select the languages
accommodated by your customer support team. We will review your
selection and validate it.
- Click the Save and continue button to continue to the next page
of the form.
Step 4. Complete the Pricing page
- Complete the page, following this guidance:
Free trial. Check
this box if you offer a free trial, and then enter the length of the
trial in days in the Duration box. If the free trial is not
based in days, describe the duration of the free trial in the
Pricing description box.
Pricing
description. Enter a description of your pricing model.
Pricing model.
- Starting at (amount per month/year). Select this if your
pricing model is based on a monthly or yearly charge. Enter the
starting price in the Pricing section. Enter any other
information about your pricing model in the Pricing
description box.
- Request quote from developer. Select this if your pricing
model is determined case by case, depending on the seller’s
needs. Describe your pricing model in the Pricing
description box, include promotional codes, if
applicable.
- Free. Select this if you do not charge for your product
under any conditions.
Marketplaces. Choose at least one marketplace.
- Click the Save and continue button to continue to the next page
of the form.
Step 5. Complete the App details page and submit the form
- Complete the page, following this guidance:
Functionality.
Select the functionality required by your application. We will
review your selection and validate it.
Listing
category. Select up to five listing categories for your
application. We will review your selection and validate
it.
App description (long). Enter a detailed
description of your application (maximum 4000 characters).
Important: The following are not allowed:
- Phrases such as "The best", "Number 1", and "The only".
- Customer feedback quotes.
- Personal information about yourself or others.
- URLs.
App features. Describe your application’s features using a
bulleted list. Who should use this. Describe the target
audience for your application to help customers find the application
that is right for them. Indicate any restrictions or requirements
for using your application, such as operating only in certain
marketplaces, minimum requirements for sales or number of ASINs, or
any software or system requirements.
- Click the Save and submit button to submit the form.
The Thank you! page appears. This page includes a link to your
case log, where you can view the progress of your listing request. We will
use the case log to contact you if we require clarification or have
questions. If we have no need follow up with you, we will aim to publish
your application in the Selling Partner Appstore in seven to ten
days.
Editing your listing
If you need to edit your listing after it is published, you can initiate that
process from Developer Central.
To edit a listing
- Sign into Developer Central in your home marketplace, using the credentials you used to
register for Amazon MWS. Here are links to
Developer Central by marketplace:
- On the Developer Central page, under
Action, click Edit for the application listing that
you want to edit.
The App registration form appears, with all
of the fields populated the way you last saved them.
- Go through the form, editing the field(s) that you want to update.
- On final page of the form (the App Details page), click the
Save and submit button.
The App listing submitted
page appears. This page includes a link to your case log, where you
can view the progress of your listing request. We will use the case
log to contact you if we require clarification or have
questions.
